Gut

By Frances Poet

a blond baby in the arms of their mother

Guildhall School presents Frances Poet’s Gut, winner of Best Play at the 2019 Writers’ Guild, and shortlisted for the 2015 Bruntwood Prize for Playwriting.

For Maddy and Rory, devoted parents to three-year-old Joshua, life is good. But when their son is left with his grandmother for a weekend, suddenly everything changes.

From a seemingly innocuous event, paranoia, fear and doubt grows, pushing them to the very edge.

This award-winning psychological thriller asks if anyone can truly be trusted with our children.

This play contains discussions and themes of abuse which some people may find upsetting. Please contact Barbican Box Office if you would like more information.
