Music from The Dark Side

London Schools Symphony Orchestra

Image of full orchestra on stage

Prepare yourself for a roller-coaster journey to the dark side of human psychology with London Schools Symphony Orchestra.

Music has always relished the eternal battle between darkness and light or its human mirror image: the conflict between good and evil.

This programme explores this endless conflict: from St Walpurga fighting with witches to the scholarly Faust, whose thirst for knowledge and power leads him to a terrible end at the hands of the satanic Mephistopheles. With a soundtrack of some of the most exciting and scary music ever written, this concert will feature readings of poems by John Milton, Christopher Marlowe and Johann von Goethe.

This performance will end at approximately 9.15pm, including a 20 minute interval.
