Stranger at Home (15*) + ScreenTalk with director Rudolf Van Der Berg

Part of Palestine Film Festival

Man sitting in a deserted plain

In 1985 filmmaker Rudolf Van den Berg documented his friend, the Palestinian artist and historian Kamal Boullata on his journey to Jerusalem.

Stranger at Home takes the audience on a journey with Boullata, who had not seen his home country for a long time. However, the friends, making the trip together, find themselves descending in to a painful confrontation as a Jew versus a Palestinian.

This film, rarely screened, is the director's cut format. This is a special event, hosted by the LPFF in honour of the revered luminary, Kamal Boullata, who sadly passed away this year.

Following the screening we are delighted to welcome Rudolf Van Der Berg for a ScreenTalk.
