Programme: Leytonstone Loves Film Saturday Cinema

Audience watching a film on an elevated screen

The event runs from 11.00 - 22.00, and throughout the day you can immerse yourself in short film screenings, workshops, outdoor games, and relax with an outdoor feature film screening of Bend it Like Beckham in the evening. You are welcome to come to as much of the day as you wish!

Workshop info: You will need to book your free place onto the specific workshop that you'd like to attend via the Barbican website. Once the workshops sell out, there will be a limited amount of drop in places on the day if you arrive early.

Outdoor screening info: We will have a limited number of deck chairs for seating. We also encourage you to bring blankets and any refreshments.

Impossible Collage Workshop

Elevating Expectations - Outdoor Screening

Rave (10 mins)

Some nights only make sense looking back. On a night out, a girl overdoses at an underground rave. Unfolding in reverse chronology, Rave traces the events of the night back to the beginning, revealing the intertwining stories of the people involved, including Jade whose night takes an unexpected turn after she finds herself alone at a rave.

A monotonous night in a South London takeaway is turned upside down when a delivery driver is reminded of a contentious theory he learnt on YouTube.
