What you'll do
- Work as a collective to deliver the Chronic Youth Film Festival.
- Organise the public facing events, such as Q&As, panel discussions, workshops etc.
- Liaise with film makers, film distributors and various Barbican departments.
- Conduct audience research and create an outreach plan to market to target audiences.
- Contribute to the overall design of the festival, including posters, social media assets and foyer spaces.
The tutors

Isra Al Kassi
Isra is a London based Swedish-Iraqi curator, writer and co-founder of T A P E collective; a cross curatorial collective on a mission to demystify the industry and to represent could-be-cult classics through special curation, production and distribution. With a background in events & marketing Isra is also an outreach and audience development consultant and has a particular interest in mindful audience growth and creating accessible spaces for mixed-heritage storytellers and audiences. Isra has curated for London Film Festival, London Short Film Festival, BFI Southbank, Reclaim the Frame and Aesthetica Short Film Festival. Isra is also an alumna of the Barbican Young Film Programmers.
During the programme, there will be sessions led by various industry professionals in the film sector who will all bring different insights and specialisms to working as a programmer.
