Lizz Wright

Lizz Wright

Performing her new album, Shadow, the sensational singer Lizz Wright brings us her soaring jazz, gospel, blues & folk infused sound.

One of the great modern American singers, Lizz Wright has a voice like ‘barrel-aged bourbon or butter-soft leather’ (The New York Times).

With her new album she celebrates the intimacy of love, loss, community and healing in her lyrics. At its core there is bare emotion, around it; acoustic guitars layered with string quartets, harp, Carnatic Indian classical strings and gospel vocals.

On Shadow, Wright worked with the renowned engineer Ryan Freeland and music legend Bonnie Raitt. It also features the celebrated Angelique Kidjo and Meshell Ndegeocello
