Gazer (15)

Ryan J. Sloan’s debut feature is a gritty 16mm-shot neo-noir thriller about a mother fighting for survival in light of a rare mental condition.

Frankie (Ariella Mastroianni), a young single mother with dyschronometria, a rare condition that warps her sense of time, relies on cassette tapes to navigate daily life. When a questionable woman offers her a risky job, desperation drives her to accept, unaware of the darkness she’s stepping into.

Gazer is a tightly wound mystery-thriller, shot on richly textured 16mm film and pulsing with paranoid energy. Heavily influenced by the works of Alfred Hitchcock and David Lynch, it’s a haunting dive into fractured time, fragile memory, and creeping unease.
