From Hilde, With Love (15) + Animated Short

A powerful tale of love and resistance, this historic drama is inspired by the real story of the Red Orchestra anti-Nazi group.

In 1942 Berlin, a shy Hilde (Liv Lisa Fries) falls in love with Hans (Johannes Hegemann). They spend a beautiful summer together where their love entwins with acts of protest.

At nine months pregnant, Hilde is arrested by the Gestapo for treason and she must find strength to confront their situation.

This German-language biography drama was selected in the Competition at the 74th Berlin International Film Festival, where it competed for the Golden Bear.

Andreas Dresen is the German Cannes-award winning director whose films watch almost like documentaries. His previous films are Cloud 9, Summer in Berlin, Grill Point and Night Shapes.

All screenings will be proceeded by the short animated film Little Shrew, directed by Kate Bush.
