Dying (18)

An epic symphony of darkly funny family affairs directed by Matthias Glasner, set in Germany.

Tom (Lars Eidinger) is a successful music conductor who neglects his aging parents while juggling work and a messy relationship with his ex. Meanwhile, his sister Ellen (Lilith Stangenberg) fumbles through life as she struggles with alcohol, blackouts, and an affair.

Set in Germany, this funny yet tense tale looks at aging parents, family loyalty, and the morals of prioritisation.

Winner of Best Screenplay at the Berlin Film Festival and Best Film at the German Film Awards, Dying offers a sharp, witty portrayal of a family unravelling in the face of chaos.
