Dig! XX (15)

Two men sit in a vehicle wearing sunglasses.

20th Anniversary Extended version of Ondi Timoner's documentary exploring the collision of art and commerce through the eyes of psychedelic rock groups on the late nighties / early noughties.

Key bands of the period, The Dandy Warhols and The Brian Jonestown Massacre, are the focus as their careers begin to flourish and the love-hate relationship of the bands' respective frontmen Courtney Taylor-Taylor and Anton Newcombe develops. Shot over eight years (1996-2003) and compiled from over 2,500 hours of footage, the film is an incredible time capsule of the bands of the period.

This version has 40+ minutes of never-before-seen footage and narration by The Brian Jonestown Massacre’s Joel Gion.
