Join the latest cohort of Barbican Young Poets to explore the boundaries of poetry through workshops, installations, film and live performances.

Join us in celebrating the Barbican Young Poets Cohort of 2024. From workshops exploring interaction and co-creation in poetry performance, to avant-garde filmmaking and striking new writing, this is a half day programme that represents what the poets have been engaging with through the year, touching on themes that span from attention as a frame for personal identity, poetry and the body, the shortcomings of the human rights system, miscommunication, the environment, and more.

General Admission tickets grant ticket holders to a full day of poetry workshops (first come, first served), installations and performances.

Please note: Some of the work created explores themes and issues pertinent to the group, which may be of a mature/distressing nature and may include strong language. Specific topics include: chronic pain, climate crisis, conflict, eating disorders, death, displacement, domestic violence, grief, homophobia, hospitalisation, illness, mental health, oppression, psychiatric hospitalisation, references to the Palestinian conflict, violence, war.
