These two Julia Donaldson adaptations are beautifully animated by Magic Light Pictures and perfect to introduce the littlest of film fans to the cinema experience!

Come and see Superworm pit his wits against the dastardly Wizard Lizard and then meet the two alien families The Smeds who are red, and the Smoos who are blue! Animated by the legendary Magic Light Pictures – who have won countless awards for their work – and featuring the voice talent of Sally Hawkins, Adjoa Andoh, Bill Bailey, Meera Syal, Matt Smith, Olivia Colman – to name but a few, this rhyme-filled double bill is a wonderfully gentle introduction to the big screen experience for young film fans. 

As part of Family Film Club’s celebration of International Women’s Day this month, we’re delighted that both Samantha Cutler (co-director of The Smeds and the Smoos) and Sarah Scrimegeour (co-director of Superworm) will be sending us a short recorded introduction to watch before each film to tell the audience a little bit about each film.
