Long Way North (PG)

Still from Long Way North

This daring adventure to one of the most world’s most extreme landscapes – The Arctic - is led by a fearless young heroine who longs to discover the truth of her Grandfather’s disappearance.

Sascha, a 15 year old ‘debutante’ living in 19th Century St Petersburg, is fiercely loyal to her Grandfather, who went missing on an Arctic voyage and never returned. When her family’s honour is called into question, she takes matters into her own hands and runs away to uncover the truth of where her Grandfather’s mission ended and to bring his lost ship home.

A superbly animated story – winning the Audience Prize at Annecy Film Festival and both the children and adult jury prizes at the Chicago International Children’s Festival – this is a gem, rarely seen on the big screen and not to be missed at Family Film Club!
