Our Living Future: Contemporary Choral Delights

The BBC Singers, their chief conductor Sofi Jeannin, the United Strings of Europe and National Youth Chamber Choir present an evening of music by contemporary composers from America and Europe.

Featuring Judith Weir's reflective suite for chorus and string orchestra O Sweet Spontaneous Earth, Caroline Shaw's technicolour work for string Entr'acte and Dobrinka Tabakova's celebratory Centuries of Meditations, inspired by four stained glass windows in Hereford Cathedral. At the heart of the concert is the UK premiere of Morten Lauridsen's moving piece for choir and string Ave Verum Corpus, and the world premiere of Kim André Arnesen's new work: Our Living FutureJoin them for an evening of meditative and beautiful music this October.
