Dune (12A) (AD)

Timothée Chalamet as Paul in Dune

From the mind of visionary director Denis Villeneuve comes Dune: a futuristic tale of war and sacrifice, adapted from the 1965 novel by Frank Herbert.

Timothée Chalamet leads as Paul Atreides, the noble son of Duke Leto Atreides (Oscar Isaac) and Lady Jessica (Rebecca Ferguson), a member of the powerful occult sisterhood the Bene Gesserit. The House of Atreides are sent to become guardians of  the desert planet of Arrakis, a duty previously held by the ruthless Harkonnens, who have become richer than the Emperor pillaging the planet for its invaluable spice – a resource that makes vital space travel easier.

Villeneuve’s bold adaptation favours meditative world building over greenscreen bombast, with astounding immersive visuals and soundscape that enhance the fascinating tale.
