Join us to celebrate the culmination of this year’s Barbican Young Poets programme with an evening of poetry and spoken word, plus special guests.
The poets meet fortnightly under the guidance of internationally renowned poet Jacob Sam-La Rose and poet and co-tutor Rachel Long to challenge and develop their sense of what’s possible in poetry. This showcase shines a spotlight on the range of voices that constitute Barbican Young Poets this year, and what they’ve produced in their time together.
Barbican Young Poets is an annual six month mentoring and workshop programme that provides a space for poets aged 16-25 to cultivate their writing and performance, build confidence in their abilities, and have their work published and performed at the Barbican and beyond. Applications for next year’s programme will open in May.
