Weekend Lab: Belarus Free Theatre

paper falls from ceiling , man burns paper, fire pit on the ground

Join the Belarus Free Theatre team for a weekend workshop exploring the concept of “Real Theatre for the Real World”, inspired by Dogs of Europe.

Through theatre we encourage people to find their own voice, be it as artists, as individuals and as citizens.

Belarus Free Theatre was created in Minsk in March 2005 under the last existing post-soviet type dictatorship.

Through this intensive weekend workshop, you will gain insight into the company’s defining artistic method.

Every BFT’s production is an in-depth investigation of personal, social and political taboo zones locally and globally collectively by the company as a whole and by each company member individually.

As part of the Lab, you will receive a ticket to the Friday evening performance on 15th May.

This Lab is suitable for students, emerging or mid-career actors, directors and theatre-makers, ages 18+. International participants are encouraged to apply. Some preparatory work in advance of the workshop will be required.
