Áine Byrne leads a contemporary weaving workshop where you can learn how to prepare a warp for loom, weaving techniques and pattern making.
Take part in a contemporary weaving workshop led by Áine Byrne, a practicing Textile artist and Royal Academy of Art graduate. The workshop will cover weaving techniques, preparing the warp for a loom, and creating vibrant modernist patterns. The looms along with special weaving tools have been designed and made by Áine which you can take home to continue your woven piece.
STORE STORE is an innovative London based community project which have teamed up with the Barbican to organise a series of individual artistic workshops. Designed to explore new materials and processes, every day a different artist, architect or designer is invited to teach a new craft.
This event has a limited capacity of 15 participants.
The workshop will last approximately 3 hours.
