Richard Dawson: Delight is Right

A man standing in the woods with an outstretched towards the camera

Northumbrian songsmith Richard Dawson invites you to this gathering of friends, favourites and fellow travellers across two stages, culminating in a headline full band set in the Hall.

Bringing together an eclectic line-up that reflects the glorious breadth of his influences, Dawson reflects on his time-traveling, shape-shifting songcraft, as he’s joined by his band to perform songs from his new album 2020 – an unflinching meditation on contemporary Britain’s psychic crisis.

Guests on the Hall stage include mythical Finnish rock-metal band Circle in a new line-up featuring Richard Dawson himself on guitar and vocals; PC Music popstar Hannah Diamond; French improvised DIY rock band Humming Dogs and Georgian folk poet and saz player Asiq Nargile. Before that on the FreeStage is London-based art rock ensemble Yama Warashi, fronted by ex-Zun Zun Egui member Yoshino Shigihara; BAMBOO, the folk-pop duo of Nick Carlise (Peepholes) and Rachel Horwood (Trash Kit); and Danish improv saxophonist Mette Rasmussen.
