Song of the Sea (PG) + Show & Tell with children's author Julia Golding

Family Film Club

little boy surrounded by magic and an old man with a long white beard

Song of the Sea is a truly stunning modern fairy tale – not to be missed.

Julia Golding – author of the Cat Royal series and the Companions Quartet – joins us to talk about how mythical creatures have inspired her stories, where she gets her ideas from and what you can do to get creative.

Our Show & Tell is followed by Song of the Sea, a sumptuous animation inspired by Gaelic folklore, that tells the story of Ben who discovers his four-year-old mute sister, Saoirse, is a Selkie.

Adults can only come if they’re bringing a child, and children can only come along if accompanied by an adult. If you’re over 18, we’re afraid being a ‘big kid’ doesn’t count.
