Honey Boy (15)

Parent & Baby Screening

young Otis covered in cream from a cream pie

Shia LaBeouf writes and stars in this powerful domestic drama, playing a version of his own hot-tempered father.

Directed by Alma Har'el, this semi-autobiographical drama sees LaBeouf portray his own father and actors Noah Jupe (A Quiet Place, Wonder) and Lucas Hedges (Manchester by the Sea, Lady Bird) playing 12 and 22 year old versions of LaBeouf (under the pseudonym of Otis).

This ferocious and evocative film is brought to life by an outstanding ensemble cast and the child actors' yearning desire for human connection which he struggles to find in his problematic yet strangely devoted father.

Our Parent and Baby screenings are designed for adults to enjoy the latest film releases with their young babies, in a relaxed atmosphere with gentler lighting and sound. Screenings are suitable for babies of 12 months or under. Up to four adults can accompany a baby, but adults without a baby will not be admitted.

We have plenty of dedicated space for you to park your baby buggy. For health and safety reasons, we cannot allow buggies inside the cinemas.

Review

‘The most powerful scenes in the film take place with the younger Otis — Jupe’s performance is astounding — when humor, affection, and harsh reality fight to co-exist‘
