Ranging from well known classics, including Pachelbel’s Canon, Vivaldi’s Autumn and Brahms' Lullaby, to Brazilian and Carribean folk songs plus their own compositions, students in years 4–6 will showcase their first performing experiences in choir, solos, ensembles, chamber music and a 50+ piece orchestra.
These young musicians have benefitted from a dedicated teaching staff who, using a variety of pedagogical methods, are skilled in achieving exceptional results in mixed ability group and ensemble music teaching.
The music centre enhances the learning of classical instruments, as well as to develop playing skills and performing opportunities. The IPMC is very grateful to the Worshipful Company of Brewers, Trustee for the Dame Alice Owen Foundation, whose generous funding has made this possible.
