Film Scoring Masterclass

with Jono Buchanan and Guildhall musicians

Film scoring masterclass from the Guildhall School

Join Guildhall's Electronic Music Department for a dynamic masterclass focusing on the recording and production of a hybrid film score using both virtual and real instruments with Apple Logic Pro X.

Hosted by Guildhall professor Jono Buchanan and joined by musicians on stage, you will be taken through a complete production workflow from composing, arranging and recording, to editing and mixing. This is your chance to see experts at work, as Jono directs an orchestra, records live on stage and manipulates the results on a large-screen projection.

This free masterclass is open to all and suitable for all levels. Whether you are studying music technology at BTEC, A Level or beyond, or are just curious about Film Scoring and what Logic Pro X can do, join us to learn some new tricks and transfer these skills to your own work.

Please note that this event has now sold out - email [email protected] to put your name on the waiting list and be notified about returns.

Admission free; booking required via the Barbican Box Office. Refreshments included.
