Al Di Meola World Sinfonia

Music of Al Di Meola, Piazzolla & The Beatles

Al di Meola

Jazz fusion guitar maestro Al Di Meola performs some his best-known compositions alongside the songs of Piazzolla and The Beatles.

It only took two years from enrolling at Berklee College of Music in Boston for di Meola to find himself in Chick Corea’s fusion supergroup Return to Forever. And his early solo career saw him release a string of instrumental albums including Elegant Gypsy and Casino, that showcased the intricate but lightning fast guitar style that would become his trademark.

In 2000 he formed the Al Di Meola World Sinfonia, featuring musicians from Argentina, Cuba and Israel. Here the famed guitarist will reference his extensive back-catalogue, as well as paying a musical tribute to Argentinian composer Ástor Piazzolla and The Beatles.
