Did you know? We’re part of the European Concert Hall Organisation, a network that brings together many major concert halls across Europe. Each year ECHO nominates a group of exceptional young artists as its Rising Stars to perform in venues across the network.
The pandemic has made that a bit difficult over the last year, so the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg have recorded six of the nominees in a digital concert from their stage.
Baritone James Newby is our nominee, who should have performed for us in January. Only 28 years old, James Newby is a BBC New Generation Artist 2018-2021 and is making waves with his mature and communicative singing. We can’t wait to welcome him back to our stage in due course.
