Barbican Sessions: Sean Shibe

15 Sep 2021
9 min watch

Guitarist Sean Shibe plays the world premiere of Daniel Kidane’s Haze, commissioned by the Barbican, in an empty Barbican Hall.

'Haze' emerges from a period that suspended live collaboration. Instead, remotely recorded cassettes provide accompaniment for the resonant sounds of the electric guitar.

This Barbican Session was supported by Classical Futures Europe. Classical Futures Europe supports the promotion of emerging talent, new approaches to concert presentation, and the development of new audiences and community participation in classical music, is managed by the European Concert Hall Organisation, and is co-funded by the Creative Programme of the European Union.
