Noa Wildschut (violin)

ECHO Rising Stars

Noa Wildschut

Prokofiev and Tchaikovsky are the cornerstones of this showcase recital from the young Dutch violinist Noa Wildschut.

The Dutch violinist Noa Wildschut is only 19 years old, but she’s already one of the most distinctive violinists of her generation. Her choice of Tchaikovsky’s Souvenir and Prokofiev’s playful, elusive Second Sonata suggests that she has something wholly individual to say.

Wildschut’s musical interests range from Mozart to the 21st century, and she has a special love of chamber music. But for this showcase recital (for which she was nominated by Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw, as part of the Europe-wide ECHO Rising Stars series) she’ll also perform a new commission by the gleefully eclectic young Dutch composer Joey Roukens – the Indian-inspired Sarasvati.

The performance is expected to finish around 2pm.

nominated by Het Concertgebouw Amsterdam.
