Kate Atkinson and the BBC Symphony Orchestra

Kate Atkinson looking at the camera, with circular purple and red swirls around her

The author of Life After Life, Case Histories and Behind the Scenes at the Museum, joins the BBC Symphony Orchestra to read from her own work, and share the music that has moved and inspired her.

Kate Atkinson is one of the best-loved storytellers of the 21st century – creator of Jackson Brodie, and a Whitbread and Costa Prize-winning writer whose novels turn a playful but always intensely perceptive eye on life, love and loss.

With a special guest appearance by actor and singer Jamie Parker.

Please note, the readings in this evening’s performance include themes of an adult nature and some scenes which may be considered distressing.
