Join author and music writer Jude Rogers as she discusses her book The Sound of Being Human in conversation with author, cultural historian and commentator Travis Elborough.

The Sound of Being Human (White Rabbit, 2023) explores, in detail, why music plays such a deep-rooted role in so many lives, from before we are born to our last days. Vast in scope, The Sound of Being Human delves into neuroscience, psychology, sociology, fandom studies and anthropology, taking the reader on a journey using scientific and cultural research stitched together with Jude’s own story as a young, grieving girl finding her way in the world through music.
