Rodeo (15) + Recorded Q&A

A child and two women drive on a dirt-bike in a still from Rodeo.

Diesel-head Julia stirs the dust of the male dominated French dirt-bike scene in Lola Quiveron's Rodeo.

Uncontrollable misfit Julia is a diesel head - dirt biking is her life. Trying to claw a space for herself in the male dominated scene, she organises a heist, but with big wins comes big risk.

Winner of Un Certain Regard at Cannes Film Festival 2022, Lola Quiveron, working mainly with first time actors, paints a gritty portrait of the sub-urban motorbike scene.

An almost-heist movie, this naturalistic character study has an near documentary reality to it, shot by cinematographer Raphaël Vandenbussche.
