Jesmonite Trivet Workshop with Daniela Rubino

Jesmonite Trivet Workshop at the Barbican

Make your own terrazzo effect trivet out of Jesmonite.

This two-hour casting workshop invites you to create colourful terrazzo effect trivets using jesmonite. Learn how to mix and add various colour pigments of your choice to jesmonite, as well as make the chips from scratch which will be added and cast into the mixture.

To round off, the pieces are finished and sanded down, producing two handmade coasters ready to take home.

Daniela Rubino is a London–based designer who creates bold, geometric and durable hand–made designs that combine locally sourced materials and industrial aesthetics.

  • Suitable for beginners, all materials are provided
  • Workshop duration: 2 hours
  • Maximum capacity: 15
  • This workshop can get messy – please dress accordingly
  • This workshop has an age restriction of 16+.
