Darbar Festival

A unique chance to glimpse into one of the greatest tabla master minds who has invented an accompaniment soundscape for the ghazal form of music.

Ojas Adhiya is considered to be one of the most accomplished classical, contemporary and light classical music tabla players. He is a groove maker for classical, ghazal, thumri, jazz and symphony music.

Known for his dextrous finger technique and fluidity in presentation, it is his ability to adapt that sets him apart and makes him a much sought after global tabla player. He has performed regularly with Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia, Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, Begum Parveen Sultana, Pandit Satish Vyas, Ustad Rashid khan, Kaushiki Chakraborty, Anoushka Shankar, John McLaughlin and many more.

In this event, the award-winning Adhiya demystifies the improvised style of tabla musicianship he has become known for when accompanying ghazal masters like Hariharan, Pankaj Udhas, Ustad Hussain Baksh, Talat Aziz and many others.
