All of Us Strangers (15) (AD)

Senior Community Screening

Two men lie in bed together, draped in orange light. They look lovingly at each other.

Paul Mescal and Andrew Scott are neighbours falling in love despite the presence of their pasts, in this intertwined fantasy romance by Andrew Haigh.

Orphaned writer Adam (Andrew Scott) is drawn back to his parents' house, looking for answers to the questions he's had thoughout his life. At the same time, he starts dating his neighbour (Paul Mescal). When our pasts are so here with us, how can we be present?

Andrew Haigh's second feature is an obliterating romance, played by two of the best contemporary performers today, with a sublime chemistry between the pair.

The story is inspired by the novel Strangers by Japanese author Taichi Yamada, written in 1987 and translated into English in 2003. Claire Foy and Jamie Bell play alongside as Adam's parents.
