Transport disruption: Silk Street – installation of water mains monitoring equipment 
As part of the ongoing Crossrail works, traffic on Silk Street (near the junction with Beech Street and Chiswell Street) will be disrupted during weekday working hours (08:00–18:00) from 7–21 April 2014. Southbound traffic will be diverted to Milton Street and controlled by traffic signs. The bus stop and taxi stands will also be suspended during these times.

Bus Route 153 runs directly past the Barbican along Chiswell Street. We are easily accessible by bus from around the city; plan your journey using the TfL Interactive Bus Map

by bicycle

Cycle racks are available at the entrance to Car Park 5 and exit to Car Park 3 and helmets and equipment can be left in our free cloakrooms. Our nearest TfL Bicycle Hire docking station is Silk Street. Plan your journey using the TfL Cycle Journey Planner

by car

The Barbican is clearly sign-posted and has four car parks on Beech Street and Silk Street.
