London Symphony Orchestra: Discovery Showcase

Discovery showcase

For this year's LSO Discovery Showcase, where our learning and community programmes step into the spotlight, we explore the theme of 'Horizons' in a concert bursting with creativity and imagination.

Programme

LSO On Track Next Generation deliver a thought-provoking new piece, reflecting on a world without destruction and conflict. LSO Connect, the Claremont Project and Help on Your Doorstep bring us beautiful and sublime original works that encourage us to appreciate the world we have.

Hope is abundant in the LSO Discovery Choirs' performance, with well known tunes and new compositions coming together to imagine what's yet to come. And the London Symphony Orchestra perform John Adams' exuberant, minimalist whirlwind, Short Ride in a Fast Machine.

Performers

LSO Discovery brings together almost 200 performers to the Barbican stage, spanning generations and boroughs. They're joined by animateur Rhia Parker and conductor Karen Ní Bhroin, whose passion for musical community shines out in this performance.

This performance will end at approximately 9 pm.
