Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (PG) – 20th Anniversary Re-release

Family Film Club

Three young, dishevelled teens stand in a stunning landscape, one holds a rat.

A fantastic chance for new young Potter fans to experience the magic of Hogwarts on the big screen!

Directed by Alfonso Cuarón – who went on to make the dystopian thriller Children of Men and then won a best directing Academy Award for Gravity – this knotty year at Hogwarts features the return of Sirius Black, escaped prisoner of Azkaban Prison and estranged godfather to Harry, but could there be more to him than meets the eye?

Harry, Ron and Hermoine are tested to their very limits as they work to survive dementors, betrayal and the ever growing threat of He Who Must Not Be Named (that’s Lord Voldemort if you’re feeling brave enough to say it out loud!) This truthful adaption hits all the right notes from the book and after twenty years still stands alone as the cleverest and – dare we say it – best of the Harry Potter films.
