A production of rare intelligence and power Honour Bound pushes the limits of integrated live performance. It raises important questions about the balance between the pursuit of national security and human rights, making its point with a passionate and compelling force.
Set inside a towering metal cage, Honour Bound uses spectacular aerial acrobatics, theatre, dance and film to tell the story of Australian David Hicks and his incarceration in Guantanamo Bay. This deeply human story is seen through the eyes of Hicks's parents, combining their moving testimony with letters, internal Pentagon papers and the accounts of former detainees.
Honour Bound won the Helpmann Award for Best Visual or Physical Theatre Production.
