Bitesize Barbican: The Preston Bill

30 - 31 March 2017 / 13:00
Foyer, Level G

Booking not required

Bitesize Barbican is a series of free performances presented over lunchtime on the FreeStage in the Barbican Foyer.

Award-winning theatre-maker Andy Smith (co-director of An Oak Tree with Tim Crouch) presents a tale of one man and his place in the world, set against the turbulent backdrop of 80 years of socio-economic change in the north of England.

Using political speeches from each decade, The Preston Bill examines and highlights the difference and similarities of our political landscape through these years. It presents a gentle call to action in these turbulent times; a reminder that the actions of one person can make a difference.

'An accomplished storyteller…The Preston Bill has subtlety and charm’
