Graced by fiercely thoughtful performances from Judi Dench and Ian McKellen, Trevor Nunn’s intense and intimate production, originally staged at The Other Place, was recorded in an almost bare television studio.
Theatre critic Michael Billington describes the original staging as “a great production that reclaimed the play for the modern age”, and this vivid screen adaptation captures its powerful sense of claustrophobic evil.
We are delighted to be joined by Sir Ian McKellen who will introduce this screening.
