One of Brazil's leading contemporary dance companies explores the four main characters from Pushkin's classic novel, Eugene Onegin. Passion, rejection, lust and love stalk the stage in this physically daring and thrilling production.

Set to an eclectic soundtrack featuring Rachmaninov, Tchaikovsky, Stravinsky and Prokofiev combined with contemporary music, Tatyana features a striking set and a fifth character, Pushkin himself.

Olivier Award-winner Deborah Colker is a regular visitor to the Barbican and was the first female director to work with Cirque du Soleil, when she created OVO in 2009. Tatyana comes to London following performances at the 2012 Edinburgh International Festival.

'Easy viewing, in the best sense: beautiful bodies doing beautiful things to music. An intriguing and engaging watch’
Evening Standard ★★★★

‘By far the most absorbing work Colker has made. She is at her inventive best as she starts to mine the story’s dramatic potential.’ Guardian ★★★★

'In Tatyana's balletic athleticism she's found hidden depths to her talents. Her most personal work to date, it underscores her acclaimed athleticism with deep emotions.' Metro
