Louis Andriessen: La Passione

9 February 2016 / 19:30

 Sold out

Colourful textures, vivid sonorities and propulsive energy ignite in a concert that focuses on three ‘minimalist’ composers:  Steve Reich; the influential Dutch composer Louis Andriessen, and his former pupil, Steve Martland.

Expect pulsating, playful rhythms and melodic sequences, grand sensuous sound and impassioned expressiveness in a programme that includes Andriessen’s song cycle, La Passione, written in 2002 for featured soloists and close collaborators mezzo-soprano Cristina Zavalloni and violinist Monica Germino.
