One of the most exciting chamber groups to emerge in the US in recent years, the Calder Quartet's unique approach is defined by a musical curiosity brought to bear on everything they do - from new work by Thomas Adès and Terry Riley to collaborations with rock bands like The National and The Airborne Toxic Event. Tonight they explore string quartets by Cage and fellow travelers Morton Feldman and Christian Wolff.
Please note that Philippe Parreno's soundscape will not play during this performance.
