While you are asleep at night Matthew Robins is awake drawing pictures of crocodiles or cutting bits out of Barbra Streisand records to make her sing his name. Matthew is an artist and musician from the West Country and he writes stories and songs about monsters, the sea, and animals.

Matthew writes romantic shadow-operas and song cycles, and he makes liveanimations, and he has performed them with his band all around the UK and in Europe, including pieces made especially for the National Theatre, the Barbican and The Waterfront in Belfast.

Matthew is currently most occupied working on his first book and writing The Wolves - his first show to contain actual humans on stage, as well as writing more episodes for his on-going romantic shadow-opera, The Death of Flyboy.
