Did a doctor kill his wife?
That’s the question hanging over Dr George Dumurrier (Jean Sorel), when his wife Susan dies suddenly, after a large life insurance policy was taken out in her name. Under police suspicion and relieved to be free of his burdensome wife, George starts to question his sanity when he encounters stripper, Monica (Marisa Mell), who looks remarkably like Susan.
This rarely seen thriller from Lucio Fulci draws us into a sexy and deceitful world, the plot twisting and turning in brilliantly melodramatic fashion. Shot on location in San Francisco, and has excellent performances from its leading cast, including Elsa Martinelli as the doctor's mistress Jane.

We're pleased to welcome author Stephen Thrower to introduce the screening.
