The backbone of the whole LIAF programme; somehow, we’ve emerged from under the pile of 2,550 entries  to put together a seven showcases of the best 100 or so new films. The films come in from every corner, they use every technique, they can be funny, dramatic, eye-popping, subdued, documentary or autobiographical - and we're think they're the pick of the crop.

Somewhere
Man and machine. It’s a relationship that has to work to keep the mission on track. But it doesn’t always work perfectly, and there is a part of the real man that is out there – somewhere.
