After the success of War Horse, Steven Spielberg steps even further back in time with his mythologising take on Abraham Lincoln (Daniel Day-Lewis).

Conscious of the impact his decisions will have on the future of his nation, Lincoln struggles to tackle the ongoing civil war while fighting to abolish slavery.

With an all-star supporting cast including Sally Field, David Strathairn, Tommy Lee Jones, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, John Hawkes and Jared Harris, this is expected to be a huge hit at the Oscars.
