Find out more about Dancing around Duchamp
The work of controversial psychoanalyst and sex therapist Wilhelm Reich on the correlation between erogenous satisfaction and political freedom inspired this provocative film, one of the most controversial of its time.
Bold and funny, it revolves around a portrait of the Reich and his disciples, potently intercut with imagery of Josef Stalin, and juxtaposed with the fictional tale of a young Yugoslav woman who attempts to sell the gospel of Reichian sexual freedom to a handsome, but politically conditioned Russian skating star. An uproarious, startling, outlandish cinematic mash-up.
