Find out more about Dancing around Duchamp

Featuring a ScreenTalk after the film with Betsy Gregory, Artistic Director at Dance Umbrella, and Gilda Williams, Art lecturer & writer for Artforum and Sight&Sound, a speaker at galleries including Tate and Serpentine and the producer of a book with Tacita Dean. David Jenkins, Film Editor at Little White Lies, will host the Q&A.

Craneway Event is a feature length portrait of Merce Cunningham by one of Britainís most accomplished visual artists, 1998 Turner Prize nominee Tacita Dean.

Shot in the craneway of an abandoned Ford car factory overlooking San Francisco bay, Dean films the legendary choreographer rehearsing his company in the massive hanger-like space, and records the powerful beauty of the dancersí hypnotic movement shrouded in sunlight.
