Acclaimed documentary filmmaker Nick Broomfield joins us for his rescheduled ScreenTalk, which was due to take place during our autumn season in 2012, Seven Deadly Sins

Invited to choose a film based on his favourite sin, Broomfield opts to screen Teshigahra’s landmark in Japanese cinema and a seriously sinister example of Sloth, after which he will join writer and film curator Gareth Evans on stage for a live Q&A.

Woman of the Dunes tells the story of a young man who is trapped by local villagers into living with a mysterious and fragile woman in a house located beneath the sand. She spends her days scooping out the sand that threatens to swallow her home, while her prisoner assists her and contemplates his fate.
