Throughout the 1960s a third vision of cinema – opposed to both commercial Hollywood and autobiographical art cinema – emerged in the developing world.

One of the key works of this Third Cinema movement, Memories… charts the complex emotional voyage of Sergio, a bourgeois writer who struggles to adapt to life in the new revolutionary Cuba.
